McCain Rescues American Flags From DNC Trash

One Party’s Trash Is Another Party’s Treasure
This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Boy Scouts have arrived with 84 trash bags full of bundles of flags at the site of a McCain rally scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. local time

As opposed to even more prevalent typical democrat bull, cornman.
Why aren't you folks worried about all the flags coming home over coffins?
Bush brings back 8,000 from Iraq and then (today) deploys 3,500 from Onalaska, Wisconsin, the largest call-up since WWII. And this is not their first time going over.
Stop this war criminal and make sure McCain is shot down a second time (with votes) this November!
The flags were to be re-used at later events. I hate BOTH candidates, and that's how I see it... if they were going to throw them away why would they be rolled so nicely????
But those pics are clearly not of these flags. It's starting to become clear you are patently disingenuous, RJ.
Here's photos of flags mixed in with Obama/Biden trash:

i'm really sure these flags were headed for the garbage. another nonsense story by a nonsense puppet.. :-\
That's a good question, RJ. Maybe they were to be used for another purpose?
Interesting question -
Why were this many flags just left there and not taken home as a souvenir?
It would seem that every Obama supporter would want to keep the flag that they waved at his acceptance speech.

Interesting that the right gets all concerned about (allegedly) throwing away FLAGS while they should be concerned about 4,000 LIVES thrown away in Iraq.
Oh... and 'republicans tell me.?
Yes, they do. Regular people don't have daily sourced photos and captions. You are a paid viral blogger. A whore for the RNC.
Those of us who speak because we care justifiably disdain you.
"Goes to credibility" as the judges like to say - Herm lacks even the shred thereof.
And speaking of sources - the source of this nonsense story is Fox News' Carl Cameron - the guy who fabricated quotes and attributing them to John Kerry - resulting in Fox having to pull a story and apologize.
Consider the source, indeed.
No more or less absurd than someone posting it in the first place based on "...Republicans tell me..."
I, too, don't know if it is true, but let's keep one standard of evidence here.
Actually, on second reading, "Republicans tell me" could well be a disclaimer, sort of like "Republicans tell me there are WMD's in Iraq."
bearpause -
I wasn't there. I can not say if this is true or false. But Saying the story is "debunked" based on a statement by a DNC spokesman is absolutely absurd!
DEBUNKED!...
DNC spokesperson:
"Stories circulating about flags at the Democratic National Convention are false. We distributed more than 125,000 American made flags at the Convention - the flags removed from Invesco field were intended for other events and taken without permission. It's disappointing that someone would take American flags without authorization and then falsely describe how they were being used. We have the utmost respect for the American flag, and it's sad to see them being used for a cheap political stunt."
"Hermione... Lying since he began taking cash from the cons"
Wow, a new low in RNC financed cheap shots...
So they're selling all the flags used at the RNC's convention on Ebay or what?
Get a real job - you'll be a useless operative after November, Herm.

I'm sure there's an equal share of that out there, too. It would be weird if people cared about the issues at hand, rather than the economics of a stadium event. In fact, with no factual citation, Hermione's story could be totally false. Who would bundle flags up all neat and tidy like that if they were going to be thrown away? How do we know this photo is even of the possibly fictional event that Hermione is talking about?
